Acri-Bond UV419 is a thick viscosity high-performance, UV-curing adhesive engineered for precision bonding of glass, metal, and select plastics. It offers rapid curing, exceptional clarity, and high bond strength, making it ideal for applications where appearance, durability, and reliability are critical.

Size: 50mL

Description

Acri-Bond UV419 is a high-performance photo-curing adhesive formulated for demanding glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal applications. Engineered with high viscosity and excellent flow control, it is ideal for face-to-face and T-type bonding where strength, clarity, and stability are critical.

Curing rapidly under ultraviolet light 365nm or visible light 436nm, Acri-Bond UV419 delivers strong, transparent bonds with impressive elongation and thermal shock resistance. It maintains clarity over time and is highly resistant to weathering and ageing, making it suitable for architectural, industrial, and decorative bonding applications.

It offers excellent transparency with no yellowing over time, forming a tough, shock-resistant cured finish that stands up to impact and thermal stress. The adhesive delivers high bond strength on glass, metal, and a range of plastics, and cures efficiently under both UV and visible light.

With a long shelf life of 18 months from the lot date, it remains stable and ready for use in demanding production environments.

Acri-Bond UV419 should be dispensed using UV Safe Applicators to protect from light exposure. Surface preparation is essential, and excess uncured adhesive can be removed with organic solvents or isopropyl alcohol. Cure times will vary depending on lamp output, gap size, and material light transmittance.

Always test before full-scale use.

Choosing Between UV Glass Glue Viscosities

  • Acri-Bond UV411 – Low Viscosity 45 – 65 (CPS@25℃). Used for joints that require a capillary effect to join but do not require any gap filling. Perfect for Glass to Glass Edge Bonding.
  • Acri-Bond UV415 – Medium Viscosity 800 – 1300 (CPS@25℃). Very versatile has ability to capillary effect into joint and also can be used in both edge and surface bonding of glass and metals.
  • Acri-Bond UV419 – High Viscosity 4400 – 6800 (CPS@25℃). Can be used for face to face joining also be applied on the joint then pressed together. Has good gap filling capacity and hardly runs due to the viscosity. UV419 is designed with high viscosity for face-to-face bonding or T-type bonding of glass, metal, and most plastics.

Instructions for Use

1. For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease. Simple solvent wipe is generally sufficient. We recommend the following products for cleaning – Acri-Bond Cleaner and Zettex Profi Cleaner.

2. The product should be dispensed from a suitable applicator, it is recommended to just apply from the applicator provided as it is a UV Safe Bottle, dispensing into another applicator that isn’t may cause the adhesive to prematurely activate.

3. Cure rate is dependent on various factors such as lamp intensity, distance from light source, depth of cure needed or bond line gap and light transmittance of the substrate through which the radiation must pass. Test before use.

4. Excess uncured adhesive can be wiped away with isopropyl alcohol.

5. Bonds should be allowed to cool before subjecting to any service loads.
