Description
Acri-Bond 125 is a clear thickened acrylic cement. It is used in a variety of fabrication jobs where the acrylic glue needs to be of higher viscosity. Acri-bond 125 can be used to provide some gap filling capacity as it will fill in most uneven spots on the acrylic joint and in most cases can be used fresh off the saw. It can be used to apply a bead of glue to seal a joint and can be brushed on or applied onto any face to face joints.
Acri-Bond 125 is a faster setting and a more aggressive solvent compared to Acri-Bond 110. It dries faster and penetrates acrylic deeper providing a stronger bond. Acri-Bond 125 is used in plastic fabrication, letter fabrication, sign making, point of sale displays and by hobbyists. It can also glue other plastic substrates please check our material suitability tab above to see if it works for your intended purpose. If your substrate is not listed or you would like to confirm feel free to contact us.
Contains
METHYLENE CHLORIDE 10-30%.
TRICHLOROETHYLENE 30-60%.
Instructions
Before joining check that parts to be joined fit without forcing and are clean. It is recommended to use Acri-Bond Cleaner prior to applying any product to remove any dust and dirt. Apply adhesive with suitable applicator bottle or syringe and either 0.8mm or 1.4mm Blunt Needles or straight out of the 100ml Applicator Bottle and assemble while parts are still wet. Lastly, press parts together in firm contact. ACRI-BOND 125 forms an initial bond very quickly. Strength develops rapidly reaching full strength in 24 to 48 hours leaving about 30% dry residue. This acrylic cement has a good gap filling ability. For a tutorial how to use please refer to our YouTube Chanel or in the Videos tab above.
Recommended uses
This adhesive has been design for bonding and laminating Acrylic to Acrylic. Also, shows good results bonding Polycarbonate, HIPS, ABS and PETG to itself. If your substrate is not listed in our material suitability tab due to it being mixed or other plastic material combinations, contact us or test on a small job before using in your production.
It can be used in a range of plastic fabrication jobs. For example: Sign Fabrication, Display Boxes, Model Making and Point of Sale Displays.
